The ad hoc Area 53 Redistricting Committee has created a proposed amendment to the Area 53 Guidelines for redistricting. The proposal will be introduced at the Area Assembly on Dec 12, 2010. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to eliminate some districts and to consolidate other districts.
In summary,
- Districts 26 and 27 will be combined to form District 26,
- Districts 23, 24 and 25 will be combined to form District 23,
- Districts 37 and 38 will be combined to form District 37, and
- Districts 34 and 36 will be combined to form District 34.
