CPC-PI Tip: Volunteering at an AA Public Exhibit

Last Updated on July 28, 2015 by Area 53 Web Team

CPC-PI TIP:

The Cooperation with the Professional Community – Public Information Committee of Area 53 often staffs exhibits at tabling events. We provide literature and two AA member volunteers sit at the table to answer questions. The pamphlet “For Volunteers Staffing an A.A. Exhibit” provides guidance: http://www.aa.org/assets/en_US/SMF-201_en.pdf

The CPC-PI Committee has staffed our table in the exhibitor section of the Addiction Studies Institute, for example. Volunteers staff the booth in two or three hour shifts. This is very easy service requiring only that volunteers steer interested folks to the right pieces of literature or answer questions about A.A. Business casual attire is required.

If you’re interested in this type of service, contact us at altregistrar[at]area53aa[dot]org or attend our next CPC-PI Committee meeting.
