Description: The Ohio State Convention of AA is an open, annual service convention hosted on a rotation schedule by one of the four Ohio Service Areas. The purpose of the convention is to carry the spirit of the General Service Conference to the districts and groups in Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

The Pleasant Valley Group 64th Anniversary hog roast will be held on August 7, 2010, at the Moose Club Shelter, Charleston Road, Point Pleasant WV 25550 across from Krodel Park. Take the gravel road behind the Moose Club to the shelter.

Activities include volleyball, horse shoes, 50 /50 drawing, door prizes, slides and swings for the kids. Come help celebrate 64 yrs of AA in Point Pleasant West Virginia. Please bring a covered dish and a friend for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship.

The election of area officers for 2011-12 (Panel 61) will occure at the September Area 53 Assembly held at 400 N. Hamilton Road, Columbus OH 43229. Officers being elected include:

The 2010 International Convention, “A Vision for You,” is in San Antonio, TX on July 1-4, 2010. Many members from Ohio are traveling to attend and celebrate. At the Area 53 Assembly on June 13, 2010, the Adhoc Redistricting Committee presented three proposals for redistricting. After thorough considered, each proposal was approved by the Assembly.
District 41 (RAC Building on Old Leonard Avenue) was dissolved and groups that previously met at this buildings are now assigned to the district which encompasses this address. District 42 (Pyramid Club on West Town) was dissolved and groups that previously met at this buildings are now assigned to the district which encompasses this address. Going forward, the Area will not assign a district to a single building location or address. Districts 28 and 29, which have been acting as a single district for many years will become District 28 and all groups previously assigned to District 29 will be assigned to District 28. The District 29 will be retired and not used in the future.
