CPC-PI Help Needed

Last Updated on August 3, 2020 by Area 53 Web Team

Greetings AA Friends,

The Area 53 Cooperation with the Professional Community/Public Information Committee (CPC-PI) will be representing our Fellowship at the 2014 Addiction Studies Institute to be held August 6-8 at the Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus. We need AA members to staff the exhibit. Usually we schedule two members per shift in shifts of 3-5 hours. It should be noted that this is a weekday workday event.

The Addiction Studies Institute is a meeting for professionals working in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction treatment. Our purpose for being there is to convey accurate information about what AA is and what AA is not. If you’ve never represented the Fellowship at this kind of event, don’t worry. Every effort will be made to schedule you along-side an experienced member. Also, GSO has developed Guidelines which will be sent to all volunteers.

Scheduling options are Wednesday 7-11, 11-2, or 2-5; Thursday 7-11, 11-2, or 2-5; Friday 7-10 or 10-1. The first shift on Wednesday and last shift on Friday will require setup and tear down respectively. Chris will need your name, phone #, e-mail address and desired shift.

Thanks in advance,
Area 53 CPC-PI
