CPC/PI
Purpose
The Area 53 Cooperation with the Professional Community/Public Information (CPC/PI) Committee tries to reach the alcoholic indirectly, as well as directly, in three ways:
- By informing the general public about the AA program
- By informing “the third person” whose work is or may be involved with the active alcoholic
- By keeping the fellowship well informed, so that members and groups may carry the message more effectively
The CPC/PI Committee meets the 2nd Saturday of every month at 11am, at Panera Bread, 4519 N. High Street in Clintonville [View Map].

More about CPC/PI
Much of the public has not had the opportunity to find out how the AA Program works. There are many misconceptions about AA in the public eye. Unless we inform the public, many practicing alcoholics may never find us.
The CPC/PI committee is prepared to meet any group of individuals that would like information about what AA is and what it is not.
How We Do It
Our methods include:
- Letters
- Direct Calls
- Panels
- Presentation
“The Public” can include:

How You Can Help
There are many ways to get involved even if you do not wish to call on the public face to face. The behind-the-scenes work exhibits the same rewards, and is necessary if we are to carry the message.
