More about the Movie

Experience the 2007 off-Broadway hit Bill W. and Dr. Bob captured on DVD. Absorbing, moving, and often amusing, this richly evocative play tells the story of the two men who pioneered Alcoholics Anonymous, Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith, as well as the story their wives, Lois Wilson and Anne Smith. It is the great American story of two men who, alone, were going to die, but who together not only found a way to live, but also created a program for healing that has spread throughout the world.

The drawing/sign-up will take place at our next District 26 meeting which will be November 19th from 9:30-11:00am at the New Life Church in Gahanna.

Please discuss this with your group, choose your favorite time-slots and either send a representative to the District meeting on the 19th, or give your completed sheet to a member of the District (you can also scan & email a copy).

We’re having the same DJ as last year, and the same great AA groups hosting meetings, so we know this will be a super fun event.

District 26 – Contributions Mailing Address

The District 26 Webpage on the Area 53’s website now includes the mailing address for District 26 group contributions.  Further, there is a convenient piece titled Self-Support:  Where Money and Spirituality Mix that has been updated with the mailing addresses for each of the AA entities.  This might be a helpful resource for new group treasurers.  Of course, the percentages listed were taken from the AA pamphlet with the same name – your group should decide what actual percentages are appropriate for you.  AA appreciates all you do in support of our fellowship.

In Humble Service,
Mike M, DCM, District 26
