International Convention. This special event\, held once every five years\, commemorates the anniversary of Bill W.’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. The 2025 convention marks the 90th anniversary of A.A.. \nWhat to Expect \nThe International Convention offers a unique experience of unity and celebration within the A.A. community. Attendees can participate in various activities\, including: \n\nMeetings and workshops\nDances and events\nA traditional flag ceremony to celebrate sobriety worldwide\nFellowship with A.A. members from around the world\n\nPast conventions have been large gatherings. In 2015\, the International Convention in Atlanta\, Georgia\, saw approximately 57\,000 A.A. members in attendance. Attendees took over the city\, filling hotels and crowding coffee shops\, and participated in over 250 meetings held in more than 10 languages\, including ASL. \nRegistration and More Information \nRegistration information will be updated on the A.A. website as the Convention approaches.
