On July 8th, I attended “Picnic in the Park” hosted by District 28. It was held at Friendship Park in Gahanna. There were AA members and families in attendance. The food and fellowship were very gratifying.
There were activities available for all ages. We all participated in a lively game of Bingo and the winner received a subscription to Grapevine. Many games, such as badminton, cornhole, and Jenga were also enjoyed by attendees.
The Service Committees such as CFC, Accessibilities and others were present with information and voiced needs of their committees. Brandy V. was the speaker. She gave a very uplifting lead full of her own service experiences.
Unfortunately, the picnic was cut short by rain. I left the picnic feeling informed and inspired.
