Area 53 Redistricting Update – December 2010

At the Area 53 Assembly on December 12, 2010, the Adhoc Redistricting Committee presented four proposals for redistricting. After thorough consideration, each proposal was approved by the Assembly.

Districts 26 (Gahanna) and 27 (Whitehall/Reynoldburg) were combined into District 26. All groups previous assigned to District 27 will be assigned to District 26. The new borders are Franklin/Delaware County line to the north, Frankin/Licking County line to the east, I-70 on the south and Alum Creek on the west.

Districts 23 (Worthington), 24 (Sharon Woods) and 25 (Westerville) were combined into District 23. All groups previous assigned to Districts 24 and 25 will be assigned to District 23. The new borders are Franklin/Delaware County line to the north, Alum Creek to the east, Morse Road on the south and Olentangy River on the west.

Districts 37 (Obetz) and 38 (Groveport/Canal Winchester) were combined into District 37. All groups previous assigned to District 38 will be assigned to District 37. The new borders are I-70 to the north, Frankin/Licking County line to the east, Franklin/Picaway County line on the south and Scioto River on the west.

Districts 34 (Grove City) and 36 (West Broad Street) were combined into District 34. All groups previous assigned to District 36 will be assigned to District 34. The new borders are I-70 to the north, Scioto River to the east, Franklin/Pickaway County line on the south and Franklin/Madison County line on the west.

These Assembly actions will be reflected in the District descriptions and maps found here as soon as possible. All group records should be updated and effected groups notified of their new district over the next couple of months.
