Mark your calendars for July 3-6, 2025, and join A.A. members, their families, and friends from around the globe in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, for the A.A. International Convention. This special event, held once every five years, commemorates the anniversary of Bill W.’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. The 2025 convention marks the 90th anniversary of A.A..
What to Expect
The International Convention offers a unique experience of unity and celebration within the A.A. community. Attendees can participate in various activities, including:
- Meetings and workshops
- Dances and events
- A traditional flag ceremony to celebrate sobriety worldwide
- Fellowship with A.A. members from around the world
Past conventions have been large gatherings. In 2015, the International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, saw approximately 57,000 A.A. members in attendance. Attendees took over the city, filling hotels and crowding coffee shops, and participated in over 250 meetings held in more than 10 languages, including ASL.
