What is Bridging the Gap?

It's a program designed to smooth your transition from a treatment setting into the AA community. We connect you with a friendly AA member – a Temporary Contact – who can offer support and guidance as you begin your journey in AA.

How Bridging the Gap Helps:

  • Personal Connection: Your Temporary Contact will reach out after you leave treatment, offering a welcoming voice and a helping hand.
  • Meeting Support: They can accompany you to meetings, helping you navigate the different formats and feel more comfortable.
  • AA Insights: They'll share their experience with sponsorship, the 12 Steps, and finding a home group.
  • Resources and Connections: They can provide phone numbers of other AA members and introduce you to valuable AA literature.
