The 2015 Area 53 Mini-Conference’s first service workshops will begin at 4 pm Friday March 6, the first day of Central and Southeastern Ohio’s second Mini-Conference ever to be held at Deer Creek. March of 2013 was the last time the Mini-Conference was held in Deer Creek, which is located near Mt. Sterling Ohio, 30 minutes south of Columbus, 55 miles East of Dayton and 75 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
This year’s Area 53 Mini-Conference is set for March 6, 7, 8. The theme is: Celebrating 80 Years of Recovery, Unity and Service The Foundation for Our Future.

The Friday service workshops will be hosted by the Area 53 Corrections Committee and the Group Services Committee. Corrections will hold a Group Institutions Representative (GIR) presentation and the Group Services Committee will present a GSR School. Come early and you can learn how the AA message gets carried to alcoholics behind prison walls. And if you attend the GSR School you can learn about the AA service structure, the GSR and group service.
Friday night is special because starting at 7 pm, Bill F., the East Central Regional Trustee will give a AA World Service Report and Racy J. will report on the activities of the General Service Office, GSO.
