Congratulations to District 19 for its CPC-PI and Twelfth Step work at the Hope for Highland County community information event held June 16 and 17 at the Highland County Fairgrounds.
Steve D., DCM for District 19, said 1,200 people attended the Hope over Heroin and local churches sponsored community gathering held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday night.
Alcoholics Anonymous was invited to participate so District 19 carried the message according to Steve.
District 19 trusted servants shared what AA is and isn’t and how it worked for them using AA literature provided by your Area 53 CPC/PI committee. According to Steve, they talked mostly with persons wanting literature for a family member with a drinking problem. AA was there to reach out through AA-approved literature and the hand of AA experience.
To hear more stories of recovery and service, please come to your Area 53 CPC-PI committee meeting.
